Just the FAQs

How do I notify HSBC if my billing address changes?
Use HSBC's Internet Banking feature to change your address. If you wish to make changes to the listing of borrower names and/or Social Security Numbers, please contact Customer Service for further instructions.

Can I make additional principal payments and escrow payments on my mortgage, over and above my regular monthly payments?
Yes, as long as your account is not past due. Simply add the additional funds to your regular monthly payment and then enter the additional amount and how it should be applied in the space provided on the monthly statement detachable coupon.

Can I sell my home and let the buyer take over my remaining payments?
This arrangement, called an assumption, is prohibited unless specifically allowed in your Note and Mortgage. If your mortgage has this assumption clause, please contact our Customer Service Department for further information.

What if at some future date I want to pay my mortgage in full?
For payoff instructions, use HSBC's Internet Banking service.

How will I receive year-end information for tax filing?
By January 31st of each year, we will mail you the annual IRS Form 1098 with the total figures for the previous calendar year. It provides all your mortgage information necessary for income tax purposes. If you earn interest on your escrow account, we will also mail you an IRS Form 1099-INT statement of interest. HSBC is legally required to report to the IRS the annual amount of interest paid and interest earned on your account. The information is also available on HSBC's Internet Banking service.

I have an Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM). Does my ARM have a fixed-rate conversion option? If so, how do I convert?
Your mortgage documents will indicate if your loan is eligible for conversion. Please contact our Customer Service Department for further information and instructions.

Can I access my mortgage information on the internet?
